HYBRID CARS
1: Introduction
Hybrid cars are familiar for helping the environment by reducing pollution. They reduce carbon footprints by keeping clean air so hybrid cars are efficient on fuel economy. It gives owners better mileage and help fuel usage last a little longer. There are many models available through different car makers. The car is built in with a rechargeable battery with the capacity to recharge when the car is driving.
2: What is hybrid car?
Hybrid car is vehicle with two or more power sources to move the vehicle. Commonly it may be a car with petrol engine and electric motor or gasoline powered motor or electric motor.
3: How does it work?
Hybrid vehicles (HEVs) combine the benefits of gasoline engines or petroleum engine and electric motors the get different and can be configured to obtain different purposes. Those are improved fuel economy, increased power, or additional auxiliary power for electronic devices and power tools.
Some of the advanced technologies used in hybrids cars are
* Regenerative Braking. The electric motor applies resistance to the drivetrain causing the wheels to slow down. In return, the energy from the wheels turns the motor, which functions as a generator, converting energy normally wasted during coasting and braking into electricity, which is stored in a battery until needed by the electric motor.
* Electric Motor Drive/Assist. The electric motor provides additional power to assist the engine in accelerating, passing, or hill climbing. This allows a smaller, more efficient engine to be used. In some...
