Levendary Cafe is a chain of restaurants that specialize in wholesome foods with high quality ingredients served in a timely manner at comfortable locations founded by Howard Leventhal. They maintain a large base in the US with a catchy marketing slogan of. “Tasty Good Freshness”. In the years leading to their IPO they became an organic restaurant featuring organic breads and hormone free naturally raised beef for its various products. They were also internally discussing a move into the China Market. They maintained 3,500 company and franchised owned stores showing when in January 2011 they became publicly traded and named Mia Foster its CEO. It holds its headquarters in Denver Colorado where it started as a small soup salad and sandwich restaurant but has rapid grown into a $10 billion business. The company was also widely know and praised for its willingness to take risks in order to expand. They have several branded grocery items as well as relations in Dubai that were established with a friend of the founder. Once it began to be publicly traded wall street analysts began to speculate the the companies market was tapped out in the domestic market, with little prospects for expansion Because of this skeptic outlook the new CEO decided to begin a rapid expansion into the China market.

Within the US Multi-unit Restaurants account for around 30% of all food service related revenues which encompasses 960,00 locations and upward of $600 billion in revenues. Multi-unit Restaurants are categorized in three distinct segments: Specialty Establishments, Quick Service Restaurants, and Casual dining.
