Hi. My name is Teresa Rodriguez.

Today I am going to speak about my favorite quote and how that powerful thought has influence my life:

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them” by Walt Disney

There have been a few times in my life where I have had the courage to pursue my dreams and see them become a reality. I am very excited to share with all of you one of those very special dreams: How I found my true love!

This story starts with my first marriage. I think it is important to speak about that time in my life because it represents the background of my wonderful story. I got married when I was eighteen. At that time I was pursuing a degree in Architecture. I met the person who would be my husband, one of my classmates, in the third semester of my studies, six months later we got married. We had a very difficult relationship during our twelve years of marriage, and after several separations, we finally divorced. Why our marriage didn’t work? Maybe we were too young. Maybe we didn’t really love each other. I don’t know but after many times of asking myself that question, I decided there are no answers to some questions and I stopped asking myself why and moved on with my life. Although they were really difficult times, I can’t complaint much because it gave me two beautiful treasures, my daughters.

After the divorce, I had to start over again and when I say start over again, I mean emotionally as well as physically, because I decided to move with my two daughters to my parent’s home. Getting a divorce to me meant a failure. I felt like my whole life was falling apart. Sometimes when things go wrong, everything goes wrong. Well, besides my broken marriage, I couldn’t find a job.
