Abstract Doctors are seeking new ways to connect with their patients as well as potential new patients; online therapy, also known as telepsychiatry, has becoming popular in the medical market. Gone are the traditions of sitting in a psychiatrist office and hello to a new world where viral therapy is the next wave of our future. Online therapy consist of corresponding through email, for patients who express themselves best through writing, by phone and also video chat. With video streaming, internet connections can be disconnected causing an interruption in the therapy session as well as patient confidentially being breached when using video apps such as Skype and Ovoo.

In today’s market, consumers are always looking for convenience, and marketers are always creating new ways to give the people what they want. With telepsychiatry, doctors can treat patients with psychological or family issues virtually, without ever having to meet face to face. Gone are the traditions of sitting in a psychiatrist office and hello to a new world where viral therapy is the next wave of our future. Similarly, there is an ecommerce known as IntelliChild.com, found on the Business Pro software, where kids ages 8-12 can learn and play. With any new marketing tool, there are pros and cons as well as strategic marketing that we can use to help us decide if telepsychiatry is for us or a waste of time.
