Subj: AFTER ACTION REPORT (AAR) FOR UNIT READINESS PLANNING CLASS

1. Training goals: The faculty advisor executed a class on the Unit Readiness Planning (URP) process. Each Marine attended and completed the class from the applicable references. For the titles and information for the rest of the document use your checklist, notes and professional experience and judgment for completing the AAR.

a. Topic URP materials.

(1) Discussion: Was the materials good or bad? Could it be followed with ease by students? I believe the materials were in fact on the correct level for the audience in which it was provide. In some case you had to get on the internet to get updated information for one or two class that were given.

(2) Recommendation: For upcoming class ensure the materials are up to date with current orders. This would help the student by having things already in hand. This would also cut back on questions and the flow of the materials will match the class instructions.

b. Topic URP Class Instruction.

(1) Discussion: How was the delivery of the classes and practical applications? I think classes were breaking down very well. This type of stage learning was great for this very large lesson. The practical applications for every section were placed correctly with the lesson to enforce the lesson that was give.

(2) Recommendation: None continue this process it is not broken.

c. Topic Homework Assignments.

(1) Discussion: Was there to much or little homework? Was it difficult or easy to complete in the time given? Were groups a good or bad idea? I think that the amount of homework was ideal for one week lesson plan. By placing the Marines...
