Internship

We are currently seeking an intern interested in a career in Finance and/or Human Resources (HR), also interested in fighting for safe food, clean water, and healthy oceans. This position is full-time, and will run for 12 weeks at $11 per hour. Current student standing is not necessary. We operate in a relaxed office environment in Washington, DC, metro accessible.
We are accepting applications for a hands-on position that will be a great introduction to Finance, Accounting, HR and public interest advocacy work.

Responsibilities may include:

Participate in developing and implementing various Finance, Accounting and HR policies and procedures.
Creating forms and various accounting spreadsheets in Excel.
Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable
Entering accounting transactions into QuickBooks.
Researching policies and best practices around HR and Finance/Accounting.
Assist with lobbying reports and maintaining various filing systems.
Maintain databases and training registration for employees.
Typing memos and documentation for personnel files.
