1. UPS will be faced with multiple issues such as user interface, language, database, cultural barriers, and telecommunication laws. The difference between Chinese and English is going to be hard to translate into databases. Chinese is character based type language that looks like symbols, so translating it back to English will be hard for UPS with 100% accuracy. The handheld driver information devices would need to support English and Chinese to make it more user friendly. UPS could be faced with Chinese transmission laws that prevent them from transmitting their data efficiently and urban areas in china could cause disruption to service that UPS needs to deliver their products as promised.

2. I would target Japan first based off of Japans GDP per capita and web services. Japan is 2nd in the world for internet host with 64,453 available connections (CIA). From that data it easy to see that targeting Japanese by the internet would be a great approach due to the availability, thanks to Japanese spending so much time online. GDP per capita is my other deciding factor. GDP per capita is $37,100, which is the highest from the countries to choose from (CIA). Japanese have more disposable income than most other countries out of the list. Right now would be a great time to target Japanese with disposable income by promoting Kei Nishikori. Kei Nishikori is a Japanese tennis player who just made it to the finals of the US open back in September. Japan is booming about tennis right now thanks to Kei Nishikori being ranked 5th in the world (SMH). Kei Nishikori would be perfect to help promote the tennis rackets with a quote and picture of him on the website. The tennis racket business could be a big seller in Japan.
