CARBONITE - Back it up. Get it back.

The backup and recovery vendor that I have selected is the Carbonite Company. Carbonite is one of the leading complete system backup and disaster recovery companies on the market today. When one subscribes to Carbonite their systems are backed up after the first install, but it does not stop there were the user has to manually backup after the first time. Carbonite works in the background looking for changes to the system and backing up said system with every change. As the files are created or modified the Carbonite will send an 128 bit encrypted copy to their of site server; protecting your system in case of a disaster or viral crash. Another good security step is that the customer decides what the user name and password is and is not stored any were. Once you selected these two things then the only way to access ones personal data is with the secret username and password. Carbonite also hires a professional security firm to conduct exercises in the attempt to gain access via physically or electronically, this allows Carbonite to find any weakness within their own security. Now one may be out on the road conducting business and their laptop crashes but there is files that are required for a presentation, well with Carbonite one has the ability to access remotely via another computer system or even a smart phone such as an Iphone or Blackberry. Carbonite allows the users to set up a schedule backup, and backup multiple versions of the same files system for up to 3 months before any of the old files start to get over written. Within the Carbonite secure facility which is armed by armed security guards, Biometric scanners, key cards, and password protected; protects the users’ private information. The facility houses the raid 6 servers in a self contained, triple redundant system that is being used in a majority of today’s financial facilities.

All in all a very useful and strong company....
