Based on the data given, my novel replay to the coworkers disquiet would to disagree with them or perhaps report the issue to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. (OSHA). I believe if you have been employed with an organization for as long as ten years, you are used to the working conditions and the operation of management. This would make it tremendously easy to presume that the new employee was making a big deal out of the situation owing to an experience in her community. Anyway, after listening to numerous responses from everyone that was in management, I have to truly think about the possibilities, and would definitely speak with other employees that had been employed to the company much longer, just to get a feedback on how they felt about the current company’s conditions at present.

The reaction from the owner is exceedingly corporate and he shows no interest for the safety of his workers. A matter of fact, his reaction could be seen as a corporate risk that there will be serious undesirable consequences to any worker that reports the company. It also demonstrates the fact that the CEO has no intention to take any action on his own, unless there is evidence of a safety issue, and that he has no plan of even looking into the possibility of this safety issue.

The area manager response, even though it was not corporate as the CEO, is still disturbing. This is owing to the fact that he is dismissing the situation with his thirty years’ experience in comparison to someone else that only had ten years of experience. In my experience after being employed to the same company for over two years, the majority of the experienced workers would have comprehended what “status quo” and over all what is “safe”.

In reference to the “Safety Coordinator”, one would thing that he would be a little more lenient and open-minded. However his comment about “Wood dust is not explosive”, when in actuality it has been proven to be explosive, demonstrates a...
