Unit 2 Assignment

The use of Sociotechnical System Theory was being used to determine how products and services would be made that customers would value. In order to achieve this, employees would be trained to use tools and knowledge to develop these products.

Quantitative management takes a more statistical approach that is provided and used to make decisions based on mathematical data. With Organizational behavior, this is used to bring employees work together based on their backgrounds.

This provides motivation to employees to be more effective at their job, a positive reinforcement. This can be effective in some work in the type of work environments that require interaction with other employee and making working as a team more effective. When having to collaborate ideas, this enable individuals to feel more comfortable with their co-workers.

System theory is a more think outside the box with data that is provide through outside research. Depending on what is being inputted by what the consumer gives feedback on. This is a known method that is widely use by many companies today in order to provide products or services that the consumer wants and that will bring the company more profit an repeat business.

A use of these methods can be effective alone or use in combination depending on what the desired goal wanting to be met by the company. Smaller companies are more driven by the service or products they provide, whereas big corporations want to bring in more profit.

There are misconceptions about products or services that seem to be better because of the cost that is presented. That is not always the case with all companies, there are many small companies that are more cost effective and provide great products and services.
