SWOT analysis

First lets take a look at the strengths of Easi-Yo Company. As we all know, our yogurt is made of healthy ingredients. Its main ingredient is fresh milk. And When DIY the yogurt, this machine needs no electricity, which makes it rather environmental friendly. Meanwhile, the Easi-Yo Company is active about charity business, as a result the company have very good social image.

Second is about the weakness. Our survey show that in CU there’s only 30% of people knows it. Obviously the promotion of Easi-Yo is ineffective. However if you really have used this machine you will found that it takes as long as all night to waiting for it to ferment. And you have to wash it after use. What’s more, the yogurt is ferment out of powder, not fresh milk, causing a significant underestimate of freshness.

About the opportunities, focus on the local Hong Kong market; compare to our DIY machine, other milk products is relatively expensive. Also, people in Hong Kong are highly educated; they have a large demand for healthy product like yogurt. Hence, we can see a large potential market there.

Along with opportunities there exist threats. On one hand, there’s a lot of electric yogurt making machines with lower price. At the same time you can buy as many as ready-made yogurt at super market. On the other hand, the milk production on New Zealand is decreasing due to the climate factor etc., directly causing the rise of the milk price. This, apparently, make it hard for Easi-Yo to control the cost of the powder.
