Introduction

AFLAC incorporation is the largest provider of insurance throughout the U.S. The company was founded by 3 brothers in 1955 and its home base is located out of Georgia. Aflac is short for American Family Life Assurance Company. Aflac offers numerous of different type of insurance such as: Dental, Life, and Accident, Cancer/Specified /Disease and much more to name. AFLAC is most known by the logo of the AFLAC Duck that every ones see on Television. In September of 2013 AFLAC total assets were more than 124 Billion dollars and the companied insured more than 50 million people worldwide. Continental American Insurance Company (CAIC) based out of Columbia, South Carolina and founded in 1980 became a part of AFLAC in 2002.It became one of the national most respected leaders in group insurance. It also offers: Benefits Consulting, Enrollment services, employee communication and individual insurance

Liquidity Analysis

AFLAC appears to be within means as it relates to liquidity. Meaning that AFLAC is able to meets its short term cash obligation. AFLAC total assets is little low compare to the industry comparison but due to profit I can see that they are doing very well due to the fact that they assets were over 124 Billion dollars this past September of 2013.

Activity Analysis

According to AFLAC Inventory Turnover ratio, the company appears to have no data to inform us about their inventory turnover. AFLAC has a fast Assets turnover rate compared to the industry as is much lower. Seems like AFLAC assets holds the most activity from everything.

Profitability Ratio

AFLAC is profitability within the industry. Compares to the industry average AFLAC is way below the industry average but the company is profitable and able to stay afloat within the industry.
