Dr. Reddy is constantly at work, reviewing andupgrading the quality of our portfolio toensure more of the patient pool has access to newer and more affordable medicines.
They have
l34 product families marketed in the US
l 160 products marketed in EU
l 195 Branded Formulations marketed in the Rest of the World markets.Their Branded Generics portfolio offers over 200 products in the major therapeutic areas of gastro-intestinal, cardiovascular, pain management, oncology, anti infectives, paediatrics and dermatology. Brands like Omez, Ciprolet, Nise, Enam, Ketorol, Exifine and Cetrine have grown in several key markets, including India, Romania, Venezuela, Russia & the CIS countries.
Some recent products they have introduced are:-
Redispar (Doxercalciferol) and Nexret (Tretinoin 0.04% & 0.1% as
microspheres) in India in April 2009.
Execare (Halometasone Cream 0.05%) in India in July 2009.
Finrid (Fentanyl Transdermal Patch) and Strea Professional, a non-invasive aesthetics in India in August 2009.
Strea C10 (pure topical Vitamin C 10%) and Strea A15 (pure topical Retinol 0.15%) in India in October 2009.
CHANGES IN TECHNOLOGY
Dr. Reddy’s research centre uses cutting-edge technology and has discovered breakthrough pharmaceutical solutions in select therapeutic areas. In a short span of operations, they have filed for more than 75 patents. They are the first Indian company to out-license an NCE molecule for clinical trials. To strengthen our research arm, we have set up a research subsidiary, Reddy US Therapeutics Inc., in Atlanta, USA. This R&D Division continuously engaged in research on new products and on process development of existing products. The Company has developed indigenous technology in respect of the products manufactured by it.
