When I went through the entire test, I thought that the test was going to be easy and not so complicated. It made me think harder when you score yourself in the block. The hardest part was doing my own self-assessment because I tend to be over critical of myself. In realistic, I cannot fully determine my strengths and weakness. It is easier when you include a third party in the assessment. In this case, I put my financial manger to a loop to criticize my performance and competence. The only different was he work for me but he has 24 years of experience in financial. After I answered the first column, I asked him to fill up the second column. After this, we answered the third column together. We sharp inputs on how the following skills should be prioritized in accordance with my job function as Logistic Officer. After finishing in answering the test, we immediately determine the skills where I have received the high ranking. When I count the total number out, I rate 7 points (194 – 187) more than the 2nd viewer. Then I color code the one that have same score with yellow, the one rate myself more with red and the one rate myself less with green color. It made me easier when you color code and you can see the one that rate me more is more than any other color.
I found five areas to be not applicable to my current job. My financial manager agreed that those areas were not applicable but he has a few other areas that he found to be not applicable. I was shocked when he pointed to me those areas because I thought they were very important to me in my daily life like communication skills, questioning and active listening, building trust, empathy and mutual understanding.
