Riordan Manufacturing, State Farm, GEICO, despite their differences these companies have something in common. All three companies face changes, and all three companies had to use their vision to maintain a profitable business. When changes come about there is all so reconstruction of the organization, and sometimes employees have a difficult time dealing with changes. Riordan Manufacturing is currently experiencing issues with their employee satisfaction. “There are many factors in improving or maintaining high employee satisfaction, which wise employers would do well to implement” (Jessica Ellis, pg 1, 2010)

State Farm recently earned a satisfactory rating from employees. This review came from surveys and other input from employees. State Farm has not maintained its longevity from customers a lone, it takes loyal workers to keep the company at bay. However, like most companies not all reviews from employees are A-1 perfect. In some reviews employees mention that management was out of touch with employees and did not adhere to their concerns. Some employees implied that its takes too long to climb the latter, and no real recognition for knowledge. State Farm does offer a multitude of advances and rewards program, the companies attempt to motivate employee satisfaction. The organization appears to have a plan that works, over half the company’s staff has a minimum of 10 years or more of service. Riordan Manufacturing, can take some pointers from State Farm. First, Riordan Manufacturing should do surveys to obtain the satisfaction of its employees. This allows for the employees to express their concerns, and comment on what can work. The other option the company can consider is reviewing their total rewards package. Riordan Manufacturing, can use this a way of motivating employees and improving the employees loyalty.
