Environmental Issues

There are many environmental issues in the world today. The issues begin on a local or regional class and are eventually affected on the global scale. It progresses from the local scale to the global scale in a process called diffusion. Diffusion is the spatial spreading or dissemination of a culture element or some other phenomenon.

For example, in Latin America there is an increase in the export of cash crops. As a result, there has been an expensive in the local consumption; subsistence farmers have been moved to the marginal or borderline lands. Another example is in Asia where they are in the middle of the Green Revaluation. The Green Revolution is development of fast-growing variety of foods being produced. Grains have increased in the foreign and domestic markets because of the Green Revolution. The production of agriculture remains on a small scale because it is very dependent manual labor. The last example is about eh drought in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is known for producing coffee, so if the drought continues everyone on affected on the global scale because the price of coffee increases.

All environment issues start on a small scale but eventually build up to a global scale. This is because of cause and effect. If something is affected on a local scale, it will eventually diffuse to affect the global scale. Multiple local scales are what make up to global scale. So if many issues begin to arise in the local scale, it will eventually build up to affect the global sale.
