The Spread of Culture and Economy

The world is being more globalized everyday or should I say “Americanized “ but the changes are so small that we will hardly notice a difference. There are ways to like free trade, opening of schools, and the allowing of churches are just some simple ways for major improvement amongst nations. Why are nations trying to shelter us from the things the world has to offer?

First and most importantly is the issue of free trade, which should be allowed because a lot of countries have resources that other need and because of the trade embargos they cannot afford to import or export any goods. Statistics have shown that most sixty three percent of countries encourage the sale of domestic goods and price imported goods so high it is neither beneficial for the consumer or producer. Some countries embargo tax is so high that people refuse to pay and the producers cannot refuse to ship and people miss out on opportunities that other are granted due to geographical location. Countries should encourage the trade between countries. For Example, In America there is a vast variety of food choices like one can eat Mexican, Japanese, greek, Italian, chinese, Vietnamese, Caribbean, etc, but in a country like Greece, it is very hard to find something to eat that is not greek or Italian.

Schools are a very big part in the way someone grows up and the things that they learned. A lot of school shelter people according to their geographical location and are biased on some events that other are not. There should be school systems that teach people all the aspect of the world, and should open ones eyes to what is the history of other cultures instead of learning about one. A person should have the choice to be able to appreciate a culture instead of being forced to appreciate one because it is all the learned.
