As you know, I have been assigned to lead the new team for our company regarding the design, installation, and maintenance of the new ductile iron pipe division accessories. I wanted to introduce ourselves as well as inform you as to how the team will be run so that you are kept in the loop.

Upon being assigned to this team, I took it upon myself to issue a personality test to better understand the team members. This could help clear up any issues that may arise with my leadership style as well as providing me with a better working knowledge of how each of them can be deployed with these new assignments.

After seeing the results of the assessment, which I will provide to you shortly, I took it upon myself to develop my approach to the team. I am very “Type A” regarding my personality, but on top of that according to my assessment I have an extraversion, intuition, thinking, judgment (ENTJ) personality. This means that I can be outgoing, visionary, argumentative, have a low tolerance for incompetence, and often seen as a natural leader, of which you are probably already aware. Because of this I have decided to lead my team with a democratic style. This allows the team to be heard, however still reserves the right for me to delegate tasks while still allowing for feedback to coach the team members, which should appease all members of the team.

The first team member I would like to present to you is. has an extroversion, intuition, thinking, perception (ENTP) personality type. This means that he is individualistic, innovative, versatile, and entrepreneurial. He is a “go getter” and generally has everything ready before I ask it of him.

The next team member I would like to mention is. has an introversion, intuition, thinking, judgment (INTJ) personality. This means that she is skeptical, critical, independent, determined, and often stubborn. She will prove to be a great asset in the quality control aspect of our team.
