My background includes working as a Medical Assistant for four years in a Internal Medicine Office preforming both front and back office duties, and helping out around the office as needed. My main responsibilities included, assisting the physician, scheduling, preparing new patient charts, answering a multi lined phone, prior authorizations, referrals, maintain medical records preform various lab duties, obtain vital signs, keep the patient flow moving smoothly, sorting mail, ordering office supplies, collecting co-payments and processing the nightly audits, verifying insurances, and scheduling outside labs and surgeries for patients as needed. Not to mention also assisting with payroll, gathering time cards, AP/AR, QuickBooks, as well as with other billing needs that needed to be done. I was very fortunate to be able to have so much training, and to be able to work basically the whole office. I also have more recently, been employed as a Supervisor at a assisted living facility where my duties are to watch over the care staff working the floor, dispense medications to residents, maintain residents records, charting, customer service skills, as well as communicate with residents family and physicians and many other daily tasks.

In addition to this experience, I gained considerable amounts of customer service skills during my employment in a restaurant, and also in a insurance office after I graduated from high school. I also bring to the table strong computer proficiencies in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and knowledge of how to utilize all regular office equipment.
