1. Know about different types of office equipment and its uses

1.1- Identify different types of equipment and their uses

- Computer- Communication and producing documents

- Printer - Printing document

- Photocopier - Making Copies of documents

- Telephone - For ingoing and outgoing calls

- Desk - to sit computer on - Storage - to lean on

- Filling cabinet - For storage

- Laminator - Laminating different documents

1.2- Describe the different features of different types of office equipment

Computers;

Communication- for example we would use the computers to email other teachers and to also receive emails on our enquires email from outside companies and parents also using parent mail to communicate to parents.

Producing documents- for example writing letters to parents, producing the certificates at the end of each week for the kids etc...

Printer/ Photocopier ;

Enlarges documents- allows me to enlarge the menu for the children each week

Back to back- this allows me to help not waste paper and cut down on the amount me use at the school by copying two page letters on to one piece of paper.

Stapling - This Option allows me to get the copier to staple the paper together instead of me.

Desk;

Storage- In the school i only have my draws to store all of my stuff.

Hold computer

Lean to write- My desk is the perfect height to lean on to write, other than this in the office there is only the entrance window to lean on.

Telephone ;

Ingoing calls- for parents/ companies to call us for enquires to pass on messages etc.

Outgoing calls- For us to call parents/ companies etc

Internal calls- This is so that the office can pass messages or phone calls on to people who regularly get calls.
