Assignment: Cold War Ideology and Politics

The Cold War a time during which there was civil unrest
all over the world and in America due to the ending of World War II. The Cold War a name that
was primarily used to describe the relationship between the US and the USSR. The Cold war a
time where no one knew exactly what to make of what was going on in the world. The Cold war
something that affected domestic and foreign policy. All of these things that I just mentioned
describe the cold war but to really understand the cold war you must get a description of how the
Cold War ideology crystallized after WWII and how war time alliances that existed were
changed. You must also get a description of how American Cold War policies and practices
influenced international relations from the late nineteen forties to the mid nineteen fifties. Both
of those things will be described as this paper goes on and will give you some more insight into
the Cold War and what it was about.
So how did the Cold War ideology that crystallized after
WWII change wartime alliances that had existed during the war? Well it changed by dividing
the world and political/ideology boundaries rather than just geographic boundaries, (McGraw
Hill, 2005). The soviet union which used to be an American ally during world war two became
the United States main adversary due to the communist ideology that they had and their
aggressive expansion into regions in eastern and central Europe. It also became true of China,
once China became a communist nation and it started to spread its political influence to other
nations in Asia (McGraw, Hill, 20005). In other words former allies became enemies and former
enemies prior to the Cold War became allies. No one here in the US really ever approved of the
