In this process paper, I’ll be talking about our team’s journey through the project. It starts with us forming our group and familiarizing with each other, moving on to the stage where we conducted our interview with our manager, following it up with preparing for our presentation and ending it with our presentation itself. Also, I’ll be mentioning some recommendations I feel my team could have used and incorporate the class concepts while talking about all of the above.

Prof Mary gave us the autonomy to form our group and naturally we will group with those that are much familiar with us. My groups’ members are Mansi, Narut, DuQun, Eric. In my opinion I don’t find that good as friends will take advantage of each other. Example: Delay in handing up assigned task & will tend to joke around at some point of time for group meeting. The advantage is that it helps us pass first stage of group development. With regards to that, under MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), my personality is ENTJ and true enough I assume leadership readily. I am the team leader of the groups that set the vision and goal for the team and schedule the meetings. During our first meeting, I casually ask everyone about their personality and secretly, I take note of that and read each of their personality and see what kind of task I could assign them with. From there, I am also able to apply different motivation technique for each of their personality (will be discussed later in the paper). Although I make a point to tell each group member that everyone is free to contribute and feel free to disagree instead of conforming to the majority, I still adopt legitimate power to command them and want them to agree with my idea. Most of them are fine with it except Mansi. That got me wonder and soon, I realized that I am the only one that makes decision and everyone just agreed.
