Tom Parker and his teammates had trouble of working on the project even they finished the job finally. It is always a challenge to put some people in a group to make them work together, because everyone is different. The most important difference among people in a team is personality. The “CANOE” model lists five personalities, which are conscientiousness, agreeableness, neuroticism, openness to experience, and extroversion (McShane & Steen, 2012).

As a member of the group, Parker has the conscientiousness personality. He works very hard to achieve his goals, and he is always prepared for the task. Parker makes specific plan before starting the task, and he always has the highest production level in the group. Besides, as a leader, Parker has the neuroticism personality. His teammate’s poor production upsets him easily. Parker gets stressed out easily, and he shows anger to Millar and Boyce after day 3, which states that Parker is bad at controlling emotions.

Talbot is an example of having agreeableness personality. He keeps the high production level, which proves that he is willing to work in the team. Talbot gives some advices to Parker after day 3 for the poor production of Millar, which shows that Talbot is good at getting along with others within a team. Otherwise, Talbot helps Boyce to finish the job on day 8, which proves that Talbot is helpful, kind, and generous.

It is not easy to define Boyce's personality. He keeps low production level, but he does not give up at the end. On day 3, he has doubts about the task arrangement after Parker shows anger to him. It seems that Boyce does not trust his teammates with a high level, which points that Boyce has the low agreeableness personality.

Millar is the key problem of the entire group. His low production level makes Parker feel stressful, and he gives up at the end, which makes the entire team have to work one more day to finish the job. Millar has the neuroticism personality. After day 5,...
