Introduction

Hiring new employees is a difficult job for many employers to do. Hiring and maintaining qualified employees is very important to business success. However, you must develop a plan, to discover them and to keep them. With the right qualified employees you can accomplish many business goals.

Moral and Ethical Issue

Business are always being faced with ethical and moral situations and dilemmas that affect their hiring process. When deciding to hire a new employee many managers have to decide who is going to be the right fit for the business and with other employees. Today’s hiring managers must always follow the laws that are required to protect the applicants and the business.   Manager must put all beliefs aside and hire the right person with the right qualities for the position.  Some of the ethical and moral issues that managers having hiring new employees are race, age and gender . This ethical issue can be very harmful to an business and it could cause lawsuits and hurt the business. Many businesses today test applicants prior to hiring the applicant to give to the managers so they can have a little easier time hiring qualified employees. In the way business are ran today one other moral and ethical issue is hiring family and friends. Being a manager for a business you need to keep your personal life separate from your business life. Hiring family and friends to work for you can be a very difficult thing to do and very unethical to your business. Managers need to think of proper question to ask the potential employee without being unethical. When I was hired to manage a shoe store I was very young and I had older employees who would have to take orders from me and they didn't like it. I had to hire a new employee to take my position over and I hired a college student that had experience in selling shoes and had a...
