Introduction

Excellence in childcare is the ethos that the nurseries are built upon. We place a great emphasis on a child’s individual learning and development, built firmly on the guidelines set out in the ‘Early Years foundation Stage’.

Little Lions Day Nursery was registered in 2014. It is in the heart of the town centre and is easily accessible by car, bus or walking from all areas of Chesterfield. It operates from a building that was once used as a church school many years ago and has been restored back to an educational setting. We are open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6.00pm. When there is the demand we open Saturdays 9.00am to 5.00pm; allowing for parents who work shift patterns which include weekend work. Bank holidays are the only days the nursery is closed. The nursery has been completely refurbished. It was stripped down to the bare brick and re-designed to make a modern purpose-built nursery; incorporating a clean and cosy home from home feel for all children and their parents.
