In this essay, we will be discussing the case of Mr. Larry Garcia a 45year old male newly diagnosed with high blood pressure. The points that are going to be addressed would be an evaluation of the patient, including gaps in education about high blood pressure and ways to fill gaps. The disease process, developmental issues based on age, ethnicity, cultural background, spiritual and developmental issues. We will also be discussing how suffering from hypertension will affect the quality of life of Mr. Garcia. Also the educational needs of Mr. Garcia will be integrated, a plan of care on how we can help him meet these needs and what perceived challenges he might encounter.

Evaluation of patient, including gaps in education, and ways to fill gaps.

Mr. Larry Garcia is a 45-year old Hispanic recently diagnosed with hypertension during a mandatory physical exam through his job. Mr. Garcia doesn't suffer from any serious illness, and he doesn't have any history of surgeries. He takes a multivitamin, and he denies any allergies to medications or food. He's been married for 18 years to Monica and have three children. Mr. Garcia has been working as a sales representative for ten years in the same company. He is expected to meet a sales quota each month, and this puts a lot of stress on him. He is Catholic and attends church on special occasions. Mr. Garcia owns a boat and enjoys fishing but due to his busy schedule he hasn't been able to enjoy it. He supports both his parents financially. Mr. Garcia has an associate's degree in business, he's been wanting to obtain his Bachelors degree, but due to his responsibilities has not been able to do it.
