Personal branding is an important part of becoming a leader and advancing your career. Your personal brand will become your trademark that will constantly evolve as you get to know yourself better, and grow as a person. It is important that your personal brand is built on what service you can be to others, and how they can gain by having a business relationship with you. First impressions are the world and there is not many chances to get two. In this paper there will be a one minute elevator pitch along with three companies that are desired to work for. The reasons why along with the best methods for contacting and engaging the people who influence hiring decisions.

Pitch

Hello my name is Keywanda Jackson I have 20 years’ experience in the cosmetology industry as an educator, an owner, and an operator. I am currently the owner of Beauty Broker Inc. A progressive company the offers services to current cosmetology students and recent graduates. I provide a bridge between taught salon theory and practices against actual salon practices. Many times graduating student are disillusioned by what they believe salon life is. This disillusion has the power to turn them from our industry. Beauty Broker Inc. will prepare these stylist to reach the next level of their field, by offering several milestone to keep them moving forward in the industry. Milestones include Skills (continuing education, product knowledge, learning how to navigate the current styles, custom cuts ad colors) Administration (learning how to keep track of your clients, online vs phone appointments, marketing, inventory, client incentives etc...)
