ASSIGNMENT & VIDEO PRESENTATION

COURSEWORK ASSESSMENT (20%)

SEMESTER MAY-OCTOBER 2015

Instructions to candidates:

1. This Assignment and Video Presentation is a requirement of your 20% coursework assessment for the subject Business Law (LAW299).

* Assignment (10%)

* Video Presentation (10%)

2. Each class shall be divided approximately to 4 groups, maximum numbers in each group shall be not more than 7 members per group Assignment and Video Presentation.

* Class Representative shall forward in one (1) hard copy the names of group members and the topic selected at Week 6 (27/7/2015-2/8/2015) – See Tentative Timeline (Annexure B).

* Each head of group is responsible for the management of its own timeline towards the submission of the Group Assignment and Video Presentation.

* Delay or non-submission of Assignment and/or Video Presentation may result in deduction of marks.

* Each group must select a different topic. There must be no duplication of topics among groups from the same class.

* Selection of topic shall be done by drawing lots among group members.

3. The Assignment which carries 10% of your coursework marks shall be:-

* In proper essay format, including Table of Content, Acknowledgements and References with proper citations.

* 8-10 pages

* Arial Font 12

* 1.5 spacing

* Will contain your screen play/ script of the video presentation as Annexure I.

4. Assessment of the Video Presentation:-

* will be at 100% which will be moderated to 10% accordingly.

* The maximum length of the Video Presentation shall be approximately 20 minutes per group.

* Submission of the Video Presentation shall be by a CD which is formatted and readable by any PC.

* In the event that the CD is unreadable due to, inter alia, but not limited to corruption or virus, the University may request for an alternate CD to be submitted.
