Song of Solomon

Solomon “Song of Songs” means in Hebrew a song by, for, or about Solomon. Book of Solomon is dated to be written in the tenth century B. C around the reign of Solomon. Within this book are different styles, tones, so it leads you in thinking the book was written by one author. In the book you see the poetic drama story of celebration of spontaneous love for her shepherd lover over Solomon, even though he won her for his royal harem. You will see how the passages of scriptures are chained showing love in all its spontaneity, beauty, power and exclusiveness experienced in moments of intimacy. In Ancient Israel, everything human came to expression in words: reverence, gratitude, anger, sorrow, suffering, trust, friendship, commitment, loyalty, hope, wisdom, moral outrage, repentance. The book of Song of Solomon you that love is sown by inspired words that disclose charm and beauty as one of God’s choicest gifts. God intends that such love which often abused by both ancient and modern people, is a normal part of marital life in his good creation. In the Song of Solomon faithful Israelite could ascertain how to live lovingly with the theocratic arrangement. When you read this book of passage in the bible you can pretty much see the scenes come true by the various descriptions given based off knowing it is about “love”.
