EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Aviation has been around for years. It was just the matter of time before it fully came around to the public. After that had happened and people saw the ability of how fast you could get somewhere and how easy it was. It was just a matter of time and technology before corporations and the rich started buying their own aircraft. This started the corporate aviation industry and at the top is Gulfstream. There are a lot of companies in this industry, but there are only few that are real successful. This is a 22 billion dollar industry with 722 corporate jet in the globe. This is a highly competitive and small industry when you look at the whole aviation industry.

Gulfstreams mission stamen is “Creating and Delivering the World’s Finest Aviation Experience.” Over the years Gulfstream seem to have accomplished this and over the years and this could be why they have such loyal and trusting customers that keep coming back. You can see at how well like they are in the industry because they have been voted number one in product support for the past decade.

Gulfstream manufactures five different lines of aircraft, the G650, G550, G450, G280, G200 and G150. The three large-cabin aircraft are manufacture by Gulfstream at their headquarters in Savannah Georgia and the other three mid-cabin aircraft are outsourced in Israel by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). They also announced the addition of a new line of large-cabin aircraft, the G500 and G600. The G500 is in testing and should get certification and start begin delivery in late 2017 and the G600 will get certification and start delivery in late 2018. They have also started to expand the maintenance facilities in the United States. They are opening a maintenance facility in Teterboro New Jersey, expanding the Long Beach California facility.
