The way we parent our children, can effect a lot on their life as they grow up. As several studies suggest parenting pays a central role of understanding the development of internalized and externalizing behavior (Cummings et al. 2000; Pereira et al, 2009). There’s three different parenting styles based on the interaction of two dimensions, parental warmth (which is related to parental control (referring to the role that parents play in promoting respect for rules and social conventions). Authoritative, Authoritarian, and Permissive.

Authoritative parents are both warm and firmly with control as Authoritarian is firm on control and low on warmth, and permissive parents are high and low on all types of control. (Baumrind, 1973) Parental demandingness (control, supervision, maturity demands) and parental responsiveness (warmth, acceptance, involvement) was considered by Maccoby and Martin (1983) was consider by another dimension and together with Baumrind, they determine that permissive should be divided into parts. (Indulgent parents and neglecting parents). Girls has experiencing more internalizing problems than boys, including low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression, although the degree of these difference tends to increase from childhood to adolescence. In context, boys exhibit more externalizing problems than girls thought-out both childhood and adolescence (Bongers et al. 2004).

In early childhood behavior problems predict difficulties in the further developmental of a range of cognitive and social emotional skills. Considering that in the literature the permissive and authorization parenting styles are the most clearly associated with behavioral problems.
