“Twilight By- Stephenie Meyer”

Twilight is a series of four vampire-based fantasy romance novels by an American author Stephenie Meyer. This story is based on love and romance that leads to the way two people become attracted to each other and become mates. However, the main idea of this story is that the character Bella Swan who is a teenage girl moves from Phoenix, Arizona to live with her father in Forks, Washington to allow her mother to travel with her new husband, a minor baseball player. After moving to Forks, Bella finds herself surprisingly drawn to a mysterious, handsome boy, Edward Cullen. She eventually learns that he’s a member of a vampire family who drinks animal blood rather than human. Edward and Bella fall in love, but James, a cruel vampire, is drawn to hunt down Bella. Edward and the other Cullens defend Bella. Therefore, she then escapes to Phoenix, Arizona, where she is tricked into confronting James, who tries to kill her. She ends up being seriously wounded, but Edward rescues her and they return to Forks, having killed James.

To begin with, the characters in this novel each play an important role in different ways. Isabella Swan which is known as Bella becomes the protagonist and is faced with many obstacles. For example, when she is forced to move to Forks, Washington she begins to fall in love with a vampire unaware of the consequences that come with it. Also, the antagonist in this case which is known as Edward Cullen can’t resist the attraction that they feel for each other. The tracker vampire James also becomes the antagonist in the last third of the novel, as he hunts down Bella to kill her and provoke Edward. As the tension builds between Edward and James, Bella is saved by Edward and his family, though Edward refuses to turn her into a vampire as she wishes.
