How does a personal cash flow statement help you organize your finances?

A personal cash floe statement can help me keep track of where my money is going to. It can help me figure out there it the money is getting spend on and where I can stop and put in into some other part that I need it at.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about completing this worksheet?

There are a few things I learned. One thing that was important is how I am spending my money. I know that my family eats out to much. If I cooked more that would help elimate a lot of spending where I can be put in a saving account for times that we are in trouble. I also like about this spreadsheet was the insurance for the cars. I never thought about putting the money to the side only because I have to pay every 3 months. If I divide that up into 12 months and put it to the side I would not have to worry how I will have to come up with that money. There are a few things that I will have to adjust like add daycare and the sports stuff we have to pay for my kids. Even though my in-laws help out it is also a big cost to us.

I hoping if I can keep up this spreadsheet I can actually save some money to the side and possible start paying my student loans back. I think this is really great to have. I am going to start using this spreadsheet even though there is some things that I have to change to get it more to my personal flow statement.
