Club IT has became a highlight of the town. They have a great clientele and Ruben and Lisa are very pleased with the business. However as they review the last few months they realize that they are still lacking in the technological area. They have seen that the clientele that are their main business are the “net-generation”. They are the individuals that “use mobile technologies such as Blackberrys, PDAs, camera phones, and other wireless communication devices. Online shopping is a regular part of their lives.”

Ruben and I have sat down and discussed the option that Club It has. Very few night clubs have changed with the times and have become an e-commerce friendly business. Ruben believes that this is a great opportunity for Club it to make a name for itself, and stand out from the other night clubs. In the night club business if you don’t stand out, then why would the customers pick your club over your competitors?

The first issue that we ran into was the internet that the club currently uses. Although a dial-up connection is the least expensive, the clientele that they entertain are a generation that wants things immediate. We chose to make the change to a high speed internet connection with the wireless option so that his customers may connect to the internet and use their wireless communication devices. Although the dial up is a cheaper alternative, the wireless will allow more of the clients to take advantage of the online services. This was also a way to attract more of the clientele that Ruben desires.

We continued to discuss the business and Ruben voiced his concern of the online retail of the club. He felt that with the shows they have on Friday and Saturday that advertising online would be to the greatest advantage. We redesigned the website, making a specific advertisement for the ticket sells to the shows. Also adding a VIP section for the clientele to post their thought and have special pricing on tickets for the loyal customers of the club....
