Q1: Discuss three important factors that lead to the Civil War. Please write formally.

Between 1861 and 1865, the Civil War created more than enough casualties stimulating from a wide range of contributing factors. Individuals expressed their beliefs and sought power in a series of issues that provoked the beginning of the Civil War, which eventually extended over a longer period of time than anticipated. Three important factors that created and led the Civil War to progress where issues regarding dominance, such as: fights and disagreements between the slave and non-slave state proponents, the states versus federal rights, and the proliferation of the Abolition Movement.

With the expansion of America, the lands that were obtained raised question if the new states that were received by the union would be free or slave. The dispute began with the deliverance from the Louisiana Purchase. It would also progress with the same related issues from the Mexican War. The 1820 ruling known as the Missouri Compromise prohibited slavery in states bygone and antiquated Louisiana Purchase. The United States had anticipated the victory in the Mexican Way, again increasing the disagreements over the territory and if the territory were to be slave or free. The chaos of an uncompromising U.S., led to the 1846 proposal to ban slavery all together in the new lands, by Wilmot Proviso. Unfortunately, his proposal was disputed and completely dissolved. In search of an acceptable balance between the South and the North, Henry Clay established The Compromise of 1850. His goal was to obtain tranquility and symmetry between the free and slaved states. Another issue that heightened the agitation and strain was due to the Kansas-Nebraska Act. In 1854, it created two additional territories that used popular sovereignty as means to decide if the state would be free or not.
