As an extension to the previous essay,I would like to throw some light on my extra-curricular achievements. I am most proud of the services I have rendered in my community.My empathic nature has driven me to make a difference in society.It all started one day against the backdrop of winter in southern India when I found a homeless women half-clothed shivering in cold. Instinctively I had decided to donate spare cloth that I had in my purse.This is where I found my inspiration to do some more community service. I voluntarily donated clothes to all homeless victims in my community. Further, I joined an NGO -To make a difference to take up assignments on teaching school children in rural setup. I have been part of the campaigns to raise funds for improving the infrastructure at rural schools. My current assignment at the NGO is to work on violence against women in India. I intend to use my technical skills to create a easy-to-use mobile application that displays location specific emergency numbers on the phone to help vulnerable women seek help. My sense of responsibility towards society is something that drives me in my everyday life. Service ,in my opinion, touches every day facet of one’s life; for instance, service to the society ,service of an old car, service to the customer .The sole purpose of any business in the world is service. Therefore, I would like to learn the dynamics of business to better understand what today ís world needs and to deliver the same to them, making their lives easier. I am also appreciative of my creative talents .I am fond of painting on objects like lamps, ceramic cups etc. This brings out the best in me.
