Why marijuana should be legalized

There are three good reasons why marijuana should be legalized. One is that it would keep some of the marijuana sellers out of jail. Another good reason is that it can be used as an aid for health problems. The final good reason why marijuana should be legalized is the government could tax it and make money from it.

Marijuana should be legalized because it would keep the illegal marijuana sellers out of jail.

If marijuana was legalized it would help families by keeping their family members out of jail. Marijuana sellers would most likely keep selling it and, just might start their own marijuana business. Marijuana businesses would provide people with jobs and a way to help families.

The health problems that marijuana could fix are a very good reason why it should be legalized. The evidence is overwhelming that marijuana can relieve certain types of pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms caused by such illnesses as multiple sclerosis, cancer, and AID’s. Marijuana is less toxic than many of the drugs that physicians prescribe every day. Cannabis has been smoked widely in western countries for over 4 decades, there have been no reported of lung cancer or emphysema attributed to marijuana.

If marijuana was legalized, the government could tax it and make money from it. The government would make a large amount of money if they were to just tax marijuana. The money that the government would make off of the legalization of marijuana would be enough to take the U.S out of the recession.

In the end the legalization of marijuana of marijuana would be one of the best things that would ever happen to the U.S.
