Proposal for Don Bosco Arts and Science College, Angadikkadavu

Background

During a meeting with the Principal Rev Fr. Francis, it was suggested that we explore effective ways to enhance the English communication skills of the second and third year students of the college.

SB Global has been tasked with devising a training intervention to mitigate the lacunae and help motivate the students to build and practice key English language skills to succeed in life.

The Principal wanted a curriculum to be developed by SB Global to be completed within the shortest duration in the most effective manner so that the students are ready at the end of the session to communicate with confidence thereby improving their employability skills.

Issues to be addressed

• Lack of Motivation

• Peer pressure

Programme Goals

The Programme is envisioned as an add on to the regular syllabus to empower the students with English communication skills thereby improving their confidence levels.

Methodology

The trainees will either individually, in pairs or groups be required to participate in activities or execute role plays after or before which there will be a debrief. This is to ensure that the learning point will be driven home effectively.

Short audio-visual clips, power point presentations and interactive sessions will be used as learning tools as and when required....
