This paper will go over the results of my desired career path. First I will go over the skills and different programs that I need to familiarize myself with. Secondly I will discuss the results that fit in or not with my desired career path. Third I will tell you about how surprised I was on my experience and the different jobs salary ranges..

After setting up my career goal on the UOP career exploration tool, I was able to see that my career path fit with all of my skills and knowledge. My desired career path is to become a Tax Manager for a mid-size corporation. Tax Managers main duties are to manage all tax matters and perform all tax planning for the company. The knowledge needed is to stay up to date on all Federal, State, and local tax codes to keep the company in compliance. Some special skills are tax audits, financial statements, acquisitions, and due diligence. Software programs that you should be able to operate for Tax Managers are MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint, and various Tax Softwares. You should be able to research, plan, manage, budget, problem solve, and be detail-oriented. The experience needed for jobs within this area would be at least 5 to 8 years. The average annual salary for a Tax Manger is between $88,720.00 to $169,250.00. Tax Manager does fit with my career path since my current position entails all of these duties and more.

I was surprised by the results since I never knew what my skills were worth. I was glad to know that I have experience in all the necessary areas that were pointed out. I was excited at the same time since I am working towards a career that I am ready to start a new job and be able to carry out all assigned duties and make a very decent salary.
