Plot
David Copperfield
is a fictional autobiography on an imaginary man named David
Copperfield that Charles Dickens made up. It is written in first person by David Copperfield
(secretly by Charles Dickens, sneaky Dickens) where he tells his life story from birth till the
present day. He writes in complete description of the tales of his life such as the death of his
father, his mother, his first wife, and close friends that practically were family. David
Copperfield did live a sad naive life but appeared to make the best out of the worst.
David Copperfield was born after his father had died, so his early years he grew up with a
depressed widowed mother and his sweet hearted nanny Ms. Peggoty. After his mother gets over
her griefs she meets an “evil” man named Mr. Murdock. When David bites Mr. Murdstone after
being beaten he is brought to Ms. Peggottys family where he meets Little Em’ly, Ham, Ms.
Gummidge, and Mr. Peggotty (not Ms. Peggotty’s husband). Other deaths and events happen
that lead David into meeting his aunt and finding his first love Dora, who sadly died of an illness.
Even David makes the better of her death by finding a new love in his childhood friend Agnes.
