Our society today is not like the society before -- freedom of press is now implemented, freedom of religion is now available, there are no more Spanish friars that would judge us --- have power over us, women are now faced with more options with education and a career, education is now more available to the majority. Moral Regeneration. Rizal’s philosophy is morality is a philosophy of a different Catholic practice intermingled with the use of Truth and Reason. Moral principle governs the growth of the republic, and for our own good I think we need now to act on purely moral grounds. Rizal wanted to proclaim Christian morals and not so much Christian faith for he was hesitant of the teachings of the friars, for they, themselves practise injustice and misuse of power.
