TESTIMONY PAPER

PART ONE- My life before I came to Christ. I was born into a church family and was raised in the Catholic Church. I grew up going to a Catholic School and serving the church as an altar boy and a helper to the Priest. I am also an Eagle Scout and was our Troop Chaplain and the Camp Chaplain at our summer camp. Around the time I went to high school I discovered alcohol and drugs, they became my best friends. I stopped going to church and stopped following Jesus in search of my next “high”. I did not realize that I was sinning and even more that I had become lost from God. For a long time I did not feel anything and my life began to go downhill.
PART TWO- How I came to a cognitive knowledge of Who Jesus is and what He did for me. After twelve years and two families, I decided that my life was nothing like I had planned for it to be, or surely what God would have wanted for me. I needed to fix a way to fix it. My mother reminded me that Jesus is the Way and invited me to Church with her. I went and prayed and never drank again. I continued to go to Church and reading the Bible but I only had religion. In time, I asked the Lord again for help with my drug addictions, and of course, He helped me. I continued my religion. My mother got sick in 2009 with incurable cancer. She had beaten it twice, why not a third time?! The more we prayed, the sicker she got. I then realized that I needed more than just religion. I needed a relationship with Jesus.
PART THREE- Circumstances surrounding your conversion - On November 23 2012, my mother was taken to the hospital, unresponsive. In December 25th we moved her to the hospice where the family could be with her. I never...
