People lie for so many reasons. They have their own views of what motivates them to lie. It will be in the ideal world if we can find a person that does not tell a lie or admit a wrongdoing. It is the psychology that is found with in us (i.e. humans) that makes us lie. Everyone will have a different point of view regarding why a person will be geared more towards lying than admitting the truth.

There are so many justifications that make people lie. For example, people lie on their resume or during an interview in order to get a job. However, their lie will catch up to them and they will have to face the consequences. People also lie because they want to seek attention, get some incentive in return, create a false reality, and so many more why and wherefores.

Psychology tells us that our subconscious mind can be programmed by repetition. This means that people lie to themselves intentionally until they eventually start believing it. Once our subconscious is programmed, we can supplement to it any belief we want. Everyone tells lies at least once in a while but the harshness fluctuates from one person to another. A person can choose to tell a lie or remain to be honest.

A lie isn’t always necessarily bad because of its strong meaning behind it. We have all been tempted to lie at some point in our life. In order for a person to fulfill their own self-centeredness, the first instinct that comes to their mind is to lie as long as it is justifiable in their eyes. If a person isn’t given enough time to act upon a certain situation then they are more than likely to tell a lie because of time constraint. However, we all live in a world that is filled with storytellers. It is up to us to decide what we choose to believe.
