Question no 1:

In your opinion, which network topology is being used in order to fulfill the communication needs of the Offices (A, B, C, D and E) in the given scenario?

Answer:

According to the scenario “Star Topology “is used because this scenario consist four nodes which are connected to the central node (central node is also known as switch or hub). If we send some data one node to another firstly all data are received to the central node. Then data will be forward to another node.

Question no 2:

* Two benefits of using the suggested topology.

1) Star topology is connected new devices or nodes. In this topology we can easily added new hub without moving rest the network. And we can easily remove modules.

2) In star topology if one link or node is failure it doesn’t affect the whole of network. Simultaneously it can detect troubleshoot and failure easily.

* Two disadvantages of the star topology are as under.

1) Star topology is highly dependent on their central device. The whole network is slow if the server is slow.

2) Its performance and number of nodes are added in such topology is depended on its capacity of central device.

Question no 3:

You are required to draw network topology diagram for the given scenario. You can use rectangle for nodes and arrows for communication in the diagram.
