After researching both of these experiments, Shock is the first word that comes to my mind. I have conflicted feelings about the Zimbardo Prison Experiment because on one hand I want to watch the whole movie, it looks very interesting and could be beneficial to research in the future and on the other hand it looks sad and I don't like seeing anyone get hurt. I could never participate in an experiment where I have to hurt anyone. The guidelines for an ethical experiment for me would be for everything to be written down and gone over before the experiment, I noticed that they weren't told that a police car was coming to arrest and humiliate them in front of family and neighbors. The second guideline would have to be mutual responsibility- You need to be specific with the parents about everything that is going on. I felt horrible for these parents and what they had to see their children endure. Deception is another one, you see a lot of that going on in this experiment, with the prisoners and parents. The last one is the incentive they are going to receive for doing the experiment after everything is explained in detail. I believe the findings are important as well.

The Milgram obedience authority project was hard for me to read about, I do agree with some things that were said but don't like the experiment and torturing others. Gregorio Billikopf concluded that People obey either out of fear or out of a desire to appear cooperative- even when acting against their own better judgment and desires. I agree with this statement for me, I am able to talk to my parents now about my behavior as a child and how I was always good because I was fearful of them, even when I had a desire to do something, I didn't do it out of fear. I liked the findings on this experiment because it shows that there are good people that had good morals and values and questioned what they were told to do because of a higher power over them.
