1. Discuss the similarities and differences between the historical methodologies of Renato Constantino and Reynaldo Ileto. It is not related to any religious aspects.

Both Renato and Reynaldo believed on the same theory of people’s history.

2. Discuss the importance of studying history and its importance in the present times. Cite examples of its use today.

I think it is very important to study history since it offers a lot of use in our daily lives and gives benefits to learning individually and as a nation. Based on (lifestyle, 2013), studying history allows us to understand our society, understand change, provide sense of identity, preserve stories, inspire us, teach us warning signs, and help us be better people all in all. When we study history we find out which events have shaped our people and this nation to be what it is to all of us. And in doing so we learn to understand certain changes on why these things have come about us and why. Studying history also provides a strong sense of self which allows us to know more about ourselves and where we come and stem from. And more than ourselves can we use history to inspire others and sometimes even ourselves to use history and learn from it which as a whole can mold us into better citizens for and of this nation.

3. In your opinion, what is the best type of historical writing suited for lay people (students and ordinary readers)? (Note: There are only two)

In my opinion secondary sources are much better suited for lay people to be handling than primary sources. Although primary sources were present during an experience or time period which had happened during an event and offer an inside view of that said event. Most of these primary sources are hard to understand due to being outdated in some aspects of the source such as it might be hard to read due to some hand writings or to understand in terms of old linguistics back in the past.
