Apple Inc. was the world’s most valuable brand in 2014.  According to a study from Brand Finance, Apple’s brand was worth $104.7 billion in 2014. The person who co-founded and led this company to this great success is a unique leader. Steve Jobs spent 14 years as Apple's CEO. His management and leadership skills were the reason behind his success. Many people wonder why he was a successful leader. As a result, the following sections will highlight three traits that make Steve Jobs a successful leader, these are; confidence, risk taking, and collaboration.

First, Steve Jobs was a confident person. He faced many obstacles in his personal life, but he fought to overcome them. He grew up with adopted parents, who adopted him at birth. At age 18, Jobs dropped out of college after six months; he had self-confidence and trust that made him reach his career success. (Steve Jobs' 2005 Stanford Speech) “Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” His speeches and conferences were clear, simple, and inspiring. People lean form him to be confident, optimistic, and believe in themselves.

Second, Steve Jobs said, “The greatest artists like Dylan, Picasso, and Newton risked failure. And if we want to be great, we’ve got to risk it too.” As a risk taker, Jobs transformed his parent’s garage into a multi-billion dollar company. Steve never feared failure. In 1985, Jobs was fired from Apple; however, he did not give up. He created two companies Pixar and Next. In 1997 Next was acquired by Apple witch led Steve to his second era in Apple. In addition, Jobs was willing to take on innovational projects that had high risk of failure. IPhone, IPad, and IPod all these innovations did not only change the electronic industries, but also changed how we use computers, how we interact with phones, and how we listen to music and watch videos.
