What makes taglines effective and memorable?

An advertising slogan is usually a short tagline usually less than five words that tells potential customers the benefits they can expect when choosing your product or service, or establishes your company brand. Most slogans are catchy, declarative phrases that use devices such as metaphors, alliteration or rhymes with simple, vibrant language. In most cases, slogans don’t actually mention the company name or product, but instead focus on what the company or product does and how it is different from anything else on the market. This helps customers remember you and your company when they are shopping for the product or service you offer.

Good taglines perform important functions for your brand. They reduce the marketing hassle and communicate your brand promise in a way that makes sure they will not forget it

They make sure you remind yourself of what your company is really about, to not lose sight of your brands goal.

They are an indication of potential future customers.

Tagline: Shake’n’Wake or Shake and Wake

My reasoning behind this is that it is catchy, short and easy to remember. These are three important things for a tagline to be effective

In close relation to other a similar catchphrase “Shake and bake” from either the sport basketball or from the famous movie “Talladega Nights”. Since it has some correlation to already existing phrases it can easily be remembered.

Another catch phrase is “wake and bake” which is very common with smokers, more specifically weed smokers, and since this is aimed at university students this connects really well as university people are most likely to try weed during their university years than at any other time.

It is a simple tagline yet effective, to show how simple yet effective the product is.
