Earthquake Myth Paper (Mythology)

Zeus early one morning on Mount Olympus decided it had been time to shuffle land around on Earth. He attempted many different ideas on how to go about this plan. The first idea involved throwing lightning bolts on to Earth to create real damage, unfortunately the bolts left everything burnt to crisps which was not his goal. The next idea involved him eating particular pieces of land to shape the giant islands; however, dirt and trees were not too appetizing. Zeus final idea was giants fighting in the center of the earth to create large vibrations to shift landmasses around. This last idea happened to be a unanimous decision between the gods that it was a good idea. Now it was narrowed down to who the giants would be.

Two mortal girls in Athens have been treated as if the were goddesses their whole lives, except for when they preformed their deadly arguments. The two girls go by Christina and Claire. Christina and Claire are sisters with very intense senses of style from clothing, to shoes, to the hair, and the makeup; but with limited supplies at times it caused huge fights between the two. Not only did they just affect their household by loud vocals, but everyone heard them scream crystal clear including Mount Olympus. The last straw had been drawn when their biggest fight yet had been over who gets the newest, custom “Anthropologie” pants. When Zeus hears the last fight he decides Christina and Claire needed a punishment!

That night had particularly dreadful storms, bad enough to keep Claire and Christina awake for hours. With the loudest thunder clap in the entire storm, the two girls had been put on a white fluffy cloud with blue skies and the sun surrounding them. A large figure had appeared in front of them until they realized it was the god of Gods, Zeus.

“Are you aware of why you’re both here?”

“No,” state both girls.

“Your arguments are so powerful that it awakens everyone on my mountain, therefore you girls deserve a punishment, or maybe...
