Statement of Work—Project Description andProject Product | This project will create a colorful splash pad for kids of all ages and their families. The splash pad will have a soft, sponge bottom for safety, as well as, misters and sprinklers for children to run through and enjoy. There will also be smaller wading pools for splashing and an area to relax and beat the heat under umbrellas.The plan is to take a part of the existing park and change it into a splash pad. The size will be appropriate to the location within the park. We will work with the city to determine the recommended guidelines. We will check with vendor to select safe and appropriate equipment for the pad. Conduct all environmental testing and requirements. Shop for vendors for pricing and supply. Provide supervision during the construction phase. Survey the community for interest in the park. Gather information for permit it needed. Meet with stakeholders. Review and comply with all city, state and federal rules and regulations. Comply with the American Disability Act requirements. In this section of the scope statement, we specifically elaborate on what the project will create. One should also discuss here how the project team plans to accomplish this project. This section should be quite detailed, because it creates the basis for the entire project and prepares you for development of your upcoming WBS.
